The Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission launched its new look website today.
The new website (www.sccrc.org.uk) provides information about the work of the Commission, the application and decision making process and also includes details of the cases that have been referred by the Commission.
The Commission's Chief Executive, Gerard Sinclair, said: "Today marks the sixth anniversary of the Commission's establishment and I am very proud to announce the launch of this new site which is intended to assist the public in learning more about the work of the Commission."
Mr Sinclair said that the Commission has achieved a lot over the past couple of years including Investor in People status and, within the last month, a Charter Mark award.
It has also eliminated the backlog of cases awaiting review and has reduced the average time taken to review a case from 14 months to under 11 months.
The Commission was established as an independent body on 1 April 1999 to review alleged miscarriages of justice in Scottish convictions.
