Fifteen more solicitors to receive extended rights of audience
Another 15 solicitor advocates are to be introduced at the Court of Session in Edinburgh this week.
Duncan Murray, President of the Law Society of Scotland will present the seven qualifying in criminal and eight in civil advocacy. This will bring the total number of solicitor advocates qualified in Scotland to 189.
The solicitor advocates to be granted rights of audience in the criminal courts are:

Gerard Considine, Fitzpatrick & Co, Glasgow;
Ian George Bryce, Central Criminal Lawyers, Livingston;
Iain McSporran, McSporrans Criminal Defence Lawyers, Edinburgh;
Matthew Auchincloss, Public Defence Solicitor's Office, Edinburgh;
Alexander George Russell, Procurator Fiscal Service, Hamilton;
John Martin McGovern, John McGovern & Co, Glasgow.
The new civil solicitor advocates are:
Julie Patricia Hamilton, MacRoberts, Edinburgh;
Richard Spencer Henderson, Harper Macleod LLP, Edinburgh;
Peter William Littlejohn, Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace, Aberdeen;
Deborah Weir Milne, Biggart Baillie, Edinburgh;
John Paul Sheridan, Anderson Fyfe, Glasgow;
Janice Mary Burgess, CMS Cameron McKenna, Aberdeen;
Alexander Garioch, Morisons, Edinburgh;
Anne Christina Struckmeier, MacRoberts, Edinburgh.
