Scottish QC Edgar Prais is to travel to the tiny island of St Helena to defend a youth in a murder trial.
Mr Prais will have to fly from England to Ascension Island from where he will catch the mail boat for the two-day trip to St Helena, where Napolean spent his final years in exile.
He is defending a youth who is facing a murder charge on the normally peaceful island, which has its own law. Where that does not apply they apply English law.
Unusually the accused can choose whether they want a judge or jury trial.
