Conference to debate children's issues

Do toy companies care about children? among questions up for discussion
Do toy companies really care about children, and how does family breakdown affect children?
These are two of the issues to be discussed at a forthcoming conference hosted by the Cardiff Centre for Ethics, Law and Society.
Topics to be covered include Children in Medicine and Research, Children and the Family, Children and Commerce, and Children and Deprivation.
"The conference will be of interest to people working in health, social care, education and in government, as well as lawyers and academics," said the centre's co-ordinator Dr Jenny Gunning, of Cardiff Law School.
It takes place at the Hilton Hotel, Cardiff on Friday 9 September and will be opened by Peter Clarke, the Children's Commissioner for Wales.
