Nine promotions announced at Edinburgh firm
Anderson Strathern has appointed two new partners and promoted a further seven members of staff.
Three of the promotions are within its Corporate department, which in the past year has handled over 50 transactions with a combined value in excess of £3bn.
Bruce Farquhar, who advises on large scale acquisitions and mergers, becomes a partner from 1 September and Hazel Clark and Ewan Regan become senior solicitors from 1 July.
The firm has also promoted Steve McDonald as a partner in the Residential team. Handling all aspects of residential property, he will become departmental manager of Anderson Strathern’s branches at Currie and Haddington from 1 September.
Fiona Killen, who provides regular legal advice to clients involved in promoting private bills in the Scottish Parliament, will become an associate and the new head of the Parliamentary & Public Law Unit. Lisa McCreadie, who specialises in conveyancing within the Land Resources department will also become an associate.
Catriona Watt from the Dispute Resolution department, employment lawyer Debbie Fisher, and Alec Stewart from the Private Client team all become senior solicitors from 1 July.
