Eric Gilligan appointed as partner as firm expands employment team
Law firm Paull & Williamsons has appointed a new partner as its employment law division continues to expand in Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
Eric Gilligan, who has been an associate at Paull & Williamsons since 2002, represents employers at employment tribunals and advises on all aspects of employment law, including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims.
He has experience handling the employment law aspects of corporate transactions and advises employers on the implications of forthcoming legislation, including age discrimination and the amended Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations.
Mr Gilligan will be based in Paull & Williamsons’ Edinburgh office while continuing to work with his Aberdeen clients. He said: “The firm has an established office in Edinburgh but we are proactively addressing demand for specialist employment expertise in the city and developing our team.
"This is a fresh challenge for me and I look forward to the new roles and responsibilities that will come with my appointment as a partner with Paull & Williamsons.”
