Millionaire to donate £20,000 to help pupils in deprived areas to study law
Property tycoon Paul Green is to fund scholarships to help pupils in Drumchapel, Parkhead and Pollock to study law.
The Jersey-based businessman, who is behind the new £300m shopping centre for Pollock, will pay for scholarships of £1000-a-year for five secondary pupils to study for bachelor of law degrees over four years.
All will attend Glasgow Caledonian University where Mr Green received an honorary doctorate earlier this month.
A spokesman for the university said that the bursaries would boost its commitment to "attract students from families and areas with no history of higher education".
