Former judge passes away at age of 92
Lord Robertson, the former Court of Session and High Court judge, died yesterday at the age of 92.
Ian Macdonald Robertson sat on the Supreme Court bench from 1966 to 1987. Admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1939, he also served as Sheriff of Argyll and Bute from 1961 to 1966 and then briefly in Perth and Angus.
He had a distinguished war record and wrote a book on his experiences, From Normandy to the Baltic.
