Business seminars aimed at promoting the benefits of keeping disabled staff
The Disability Rights Commission will be promoting good practice for small firms at two business seminars in October.
The seminars follow on from changes under the Disability Discrimination Act and are part of a campaign by the organisation to increase confidence among small employers as to the benefits of keeping disabled staff and those with long-term health conditions.
There are around 662,000 disabled people of working age in Scotland, which works out as one in five of the population.
The events will take place at Drumossie Hotel in Inverness on Tuesday 25 October and at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on 26 October. To register for the events, email scotland@drc-gb.org or call Hayley McDonald on 0131 527 4000.
