Edinburgh legal practice Bell & Scott relaunches today as Scotland’s only legal firm dealing solely with commercial property.
The firm recently reached a deal with private client specialists Pagan Osborne under which Bell & Scott's private client department transferred to Pagan Osborne, while Pagan's commercial property and corporate work would be referred to Bell & Scott. Bell & Scott's 10 partners believe that this focus on commercial property is the way forward for the firm.
Iain MacDonald, Managing Partner, said: “Commercial property is a busy and growing part of the Scottish economy and is the focus of a considerable amount of legislation and investment. It is a specialist sector which we believe needs specialist advice. The legal industry is no different to any other and to succeed you need to be strategically focused and deliver both on service and innovation.”
Bell & Scott has seen consistent growth in turnover over the past five years of between 20% and 30% per annum.
