Fair attracts 35 law firms and related organisations to 11 October event
A record total of 35 law firms and related organisations will attend the University of Aberdeen's Law Fair next week.
The event takes place on Tuesday 11 October in Elphinstone Hall, from 1pm-3.30pm and is targeted at third and final year law students, although all students from the Law School are invited to attend.
The firms attending will be recruiting for trainees in 2006, 2007 and vacation placements. They include the major Scottish firms, the Faculty of Advocates, the Scottish Law Commission and Talisman Energy (UK) Ltd.
Tracey Innes, careers adviser with the University of Aberdeen’s Careers and Appointments Service, said: “For those students who have specific plans for legal training, the Law Fair is an ideal opportunity to impress employers with their knowledge and expertise. There will also be an opportunity to discuss the many work experience opportunities available, particularly useful for those students in their third year."
