Society launches equality and diversity strategy

Strategy goes further than the requirements of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act
The Law Society of Scotland launches its equality and diversity strategy today.
The strategy will help the Society meet the requirements of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act, which extended the law in 2004 to cover additional organisations in Scotland.
The Society's strategy goes further than the Act requires, as it applies to age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion and belief, as well as race.
