Scottish Executive announces appointments of Anne Carpenter and Jeane Freeman
The Scottish Executive has appointed two new members to the Parole Board for Scotland.
Anne Carpenter and Jeane Freeman's appointments will run from 1 January 2006 until 31 December 2011.
Mrs Carpenter is a consultant clinical forensic psychologist, currently employed as the deputy director of clinical forensic psychology at the Directorate of Forensic Mental Health. Mrs Carpenter has also worked at Cornton Vale Women's Prison.
Ms Freeman is a public policy consultant. During her time as director of Apex Scotland, Ms Freeman developed effective programmes for the employment rehabilitation of offenders. Ms Freeman was previously the vice chair of the Parole Board, but this appointment was more than three years ago, the minimum time interval required by law for past members to serve on the Board again.
The posts are part-time and attract a remuneration of £182 per day for a time commitment of 12 days per month.
