Lawyer struck off for embezzlement killed in Malaga after street argument
A disgraced former Scottish lawyer has been stabbed to death while living rough in Spain.
Leslie Williams (53), who was struck off for professional misconduct in 1996 after embezzling more than £1,800 from the clients of a Glasgow firm to pay for parking tickets, had been in Malaga for about five years. He was regularly to be seen begging outside a supermarket.
He was stabbed in the chest during an argument with another vagrant on 27 November. Spanish police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the incident.
