Shepherd+ Wedderburn solicitors give input to charity website
Shepherd+ Wedderburn has joined forces with a youth enterprise charity so that young Scots entrepreneurs can tap into the legal and accounting knowledge they need to set up their own businesses.
The law firm has worked with The Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) to develop the online resource located on the charity's website. PSYBT clients can register online to view prepared legal articles or ask pertinent questions relating to their businesses.
The site will be managed and run by the PSYBT with input from solicitors at Shepherd+ Wedderburn. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has also pledged its support in kind and its members will answer questions relating to clients' accounting issues.
The PSYBT, which helps young people aged 18-25 set up and continue in business, has been selected as Shepherd+ Wedderburn's annual charity partner for the year 2006. As well as donating to the PSYBT revolving load fund, the firm has agreed to fund this new online resource.
Shepherd+ Wedderburn marketing manager Suzanne Chaudhry said: "We are delighted to support this initiative which will provide an invaluable service to new businesses and allow us to forge links with some promising new enterprises."
