New chairman, partner and associate for Blackadders

Tayside law firm Blackadders has appointed partner David Gow as its chairman.

The appointment follow the retirement of Dennis Young as chair after 11 years. Mr Gow has been a partner since 1973 and is an experienced corporate lawyer with specific expertise in commercial property.

Talking about his new role, Mr Gow said: “It is a challenging but very exciting time for the legal profession and for Blackadders. We have very ambitious plans for the coming year and beyond which I will enjoy getting my teeth into. Our aim is to ensure the continued success and growth of the firm."

Mr Young will continue to work in the private client department of Blackadders as a consultant.

Blackadders has also appointed associate solicitor Petra Grunenberg of the Kirriemuir office as a partner, and senior solicitor Shaun Mackintosh becomes an associate also from 1 April.
