Two hires for Morton Fraser

New appointments expand firm's Glasgow operation

Morton Fraser has appointed two new members of staff, Jim Herd and Amanda Masson, to its Glasgow office.

Jim Herd will join the litigation division as senior associate on 29 May. He is currently a partner with the Anderson Partnership, having been one of the founding partners in 1994.

Amanda Masson, who qualified in 2003, joins as a solicitor on 8 May from Hughes Dowdall.

Linda Urquhart, Morton Fraser’s chief executive, said: “Jim has gained a wealth of experience specialising in the twin areas of employment law and personal injury/insurance litigation acting both for clients in the insurance industry and for claimants.

"Amanda joins to practise family law, both contentious and non-contentious and child law cases, and will work with Fiona Sasan who leads our family law team in Glasgow.

"The new hires are part of our strategy to develop our Glasgow office and we are all very much looking forward to the contribution they will both make to the firm."

The 32 partner firm has offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
