Gillian Cordall joins from Lewis Silkin as an IP partner
Maclay Murray & Spens (MMS) has appointed Gillian Cordall as a non-contentious IP partner in the firm's London office at One London Wall with effect from 1 June 2006.
Ms Cordall joins the firm from London-based Lewis Silkin, where she has been a partner in the media brands & technology department since 1999. She will work with MMS's existing London team and alongside Scottish IP lawyer Fiona Nicolson to develop the firm's already strong IP practice in London.
Ms Cordall has a wide client base, including numerous companies in the computer games and interactive media sector, which is her particular focus area.
Chief executive Magnus Swanson said: "Gillian brings with her a terrific reputation in the marketplace and a complementary skill-set to that of our existing London IP team. She is an excellent lawyer and we are delighted she is joining us."
