Formal opening of new Bankruptcy Office

New Kilwinning HQ for Accountant in Bankruptcy now fully operational
The new Accountant in Bankruptcy offices in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, were officially opened yesterday.
The government agency, which oversees the bankruptcy process in Scotland, has been moved from Edinburgh as part of the Executive's relocation policy. Around 90 jobs are now based in the office.
Staff moved into the new office in February and all functions have now been transferred from Edinburgh. Gillian Thompson, Chief Executive of AiB, said:
"The official opening marks the successful end of our move from east to west and the beginning of our future in Kilwinning. I am endlessly grateful to former colleagues in Edinburgh who played a big part in the transition process and am extremely pleased with the enthusiastic team we now have here, and I look forward to the challenges yet to come."
