Nine new associates and seven senior solicitors for firm

Anderson Strathern has promoted nine of its staff members to associate and seven to the position of senior solicitor.

The appointments cover seven areas of legal speciality and come at the mid-point of a year in which the full service law firm has appointed six partners.

The associate appointments are: Ewan Regan (corporate); Debbie Fisher, Claire Hendry and Chris McDowall (employment); Catriona Watt (dispute resolution); Sarah Baillie (planning and environment), Graeme Reid (land resources); and Alec Stewart and Victoria Simpson (private client).

The new senior solicitors are: Judith Bryce (dispute resolution); Margaret Ross and Martin Campbell (private client); Peter Smith, Sheelagh Cooley and Jill Turnbull (commercial real estate); and Andrew Foyle (banking).

The firm’s managing partner, Robin Stimpson, said: “Staff development is a crucial part of our strategy. The firm rewards hard work and diligence and all the recent promotions reflect this policy. The fact that the promotions are spread over eight specialist areas underlines the firm’s commitment to its vision of being Scotland’s leading full service law firm.”
