Three department heads and elected board member confirmed

Commercial law firm Burness has announced the final lineup in its management reshuffle.

Head of property will be Richard Rennie, dispute resolution will continue to be led by David Morgan and Alan Soppitt will remain head of corporate.

The elected partner member on the governance and strategy board, decided on by partnership vote, is Scott Wilson - head of the banking unit - who served on the previous board for three years.

The announcement follows the recent restructure which confirmed Philip Rodney as chairman of the 37-partner firm and Ian Wattie, a former head of property, as the new managing partner (see http://www.journalonline.co.uk/news/1003290.aspx).

Mr Rennie, the new head of property, has a particular expertise in development and property investment. Dual qualified in Scots and English law, he also has a growing interest and specialism in property tax. He said: "The creation of the new management structure will allow us to react better to changes in the market and effectively pursue our firm strategy."
