Selling price information for all Scotland available to any solicitor
The GSPC (Glasgow Solicitors Property Centre) has launched a new online service to provide free information on property selling prices as recorded by the Registers of Scotland to solicitors throughout Scotland.
GSPC already provides its member firms with information on selling prices and the new website extends this service to other solicitors across Scotland. The data are obtained direct from the Registers of Scotland.
Firms can search for any property sold since May 2000. There are a range of search options, including street name, town or postcode, and there is no limit on the number of searches users can run.
Bill Scouller, chief executive of the GSPC said that the information was already available but in many cases expensive to obtain on a regular basis. “This latest innovation from GSPC means that for the first time, selling price information will be available free to law firms Scotlandwide in a format which makes the data easily accessible, even to frequent users."
Users must be qualified solicitors as recorded by the Law Society of Scotland. Users can register by going to www.scottishsellingprices.co.uk .
