New partners and associates intended to continue Warners' business growth

Warners, the Edinburgh solicitors and estate agency firm has made a number of senior appointments intended to continue its business growth programme in 2007.

The firm has eight new partners and associate partners, appointed to complement its existing teams.

Ross Kennedy's internal promotion from associate brings the number of partners in Warners Commercial to four, while David Wilson, who spent 19 years at Bonar MacKenzie, joins as the firm's second litigation partner.

The new residential associates are: Angela McFarlane, a former partner at the PSM Law Group in Dunfermline; Laura Mathewson, previously an associate at VMH LLP; Douglas Williamson who joins from Robson McLean where he was an associate; Debbie McCathie, formerly an associate with Morton Fraser; and Beverley Cottrell, who was previously an associate with Tods Murray.

Shuiken Chan has been internally promoted to associate in litigation.

Warners' executive partner Bob Clephane said: "We have seen the business soar to such levels that there is a vital need to recruit additional quality staff. The eight new appointments announced all enjoy excellent reputations in the marketplace and provide complementary expertise to that of our existing teams which will help build the core strengths of the firm."

Founded in 1977, Warners now has four offices in Edinburgh with 10 partners and a total staff count of 90.
