Band names itself after Edgar Prais following successful court action

A criminal lawyer has been honoured in an unusual way - an Aberdeen indie band have named themselves after him.

Members of Edgar Prais - made up of Tom Joad, Oscar Montague and Raoul Valentine - decided on the accolade after the QC successfully defended a friend of theirs in court.

Mr Prais, who is based in Edinburgh, said he couldn't imagine a better compliment, although he had yet to hear the band play.
