McGrigors adds to real estate team

Two new associates for Aberdeen office

McGrigors has strengthened its Aberdeen real estate team with the hire of Rodney Whyte and Mark McCall as additional associates.

Rodney Whyte, who has 17 years’ experience on a broad spectrum of property transactions, joins from Stewart and Watson. With a bckground in the purchase and sale of residential development sites, commercial property acquisitions and disposals, secured lending and commercial farm purchase and sale transactions, he joins the housebuilding unit of the real estate team.

Mark McCall, formerly with Aberdein Considine & Co, has 11 years’ experience in commercial property and corporate transactions, particularly property development, and also liquor licensing.

John Curran, who along with Tracey Menzies heads the 11-strong team, said: “These appointments demonstrate McGrigors’ continuing commitment to the real estate market across Scotland and the housebuilding sector in particular. The arrival of Rodney and Mark enhances the project life cycle of services we offer to builders, developers, landowners and financial institutions operating in what is a vibrant and vitally important sector of the Scottish economy.”

The Aberdeen team has recently acted in the acquisition of Motherwell Town Centre, the mixed use development at Bellsdyke Hospital in Larbert, and the sale of Hilton Campus by the University of Aberdeen, among other deals.
