Husband, wife and son could still face further legal action for Rosepark home fire
The Lord Advocate has lodged an appeal against the decision of Lord Hardie to dismiss the charges against the owners of a care home where 14 people died in a fire.
The appeal follows this week's ruling at the High Court in Glasgow, when charges against husband and wife Thomas and Anne Balmer, and son Alan Balmer were dismissed by Lord Hardie because the prosecution had used the wrong wording.
A spokesperson for the Crown Office said: "A date for the appeal will be fixed in due course."
