Faculty of Advocates has approved increases to the limits above which, if fees to counsel remain outstanding, a payment to account should be made
The Faculty of Advocates has approved increases to the Guideline 3 limits, the figures above which, if fees to counsel remain outstanding, a payment to account should be made so as to bring the amount due below the limit.The new level for senior counsel will be £5,000 and that for junior counsel £3,500. The increase will apply to all new cases instructed on or after 1 February 2007.
