HBJ Gateley Wareing sets up public services group

New integrated service aims at interaction of public and privatge sectors


HBJ Gateley Wareing has set up a new public services group bringing together the firm's outsourcing, procurement, finance, housing, regeneration, commercial property, construction and employment law capabilities.

The firm, which has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham, has also announced the appointment of Dr Norman Perry as chairman of the group.

Dr Perry's previous roles include chief executive of Wolverhampton City Council and Solihull Borough Council, chief executive of The Housing Corporation and regional director of the Department of Trade and Industry in the West Midlands.

HBJ Gateley Wareing senior partner Michael Ward said: “The new public services group will allow us to offer an integrated service as the public and private sectors increasingly interact commercially. We are delighted that such a distinguished public servant as Norman Perry has joined us to lead our new group."
