Harpers' growth exceeds expectations

Harper Macleod's turnover for year to March up 17.3%


Commercial law firm Harper Macleod’s turnover for the year to 31 March has increased from £10.4 million for the previous year to £12.2m.

The 17.3% growth exceeded the firm’s 10% growth target. The fastest growing practice areas in 2006-07 were real estate, litigation and recoveries.

Harper Macleod predicts a further 10% growth for the year 2007-08. The firm recently took additional space in the building housing its Glasgow headquarters.

Martin Darroch, the firm’s chief executive, said 2006-07 had been an extremely significant year for the firm. During the year five associates were promoted to partner, bringing the partner total to 39.
