HBJ Gateley Wareing and Boyds combine

Anglo-Scottish firm strengthens Glasgow presence


Scottish-English practice HBJ Gateley Wareing has merged with the Glasgow and Edinburgh commercial firm Boyds Solicitors.

The new firm will be called HBJ Gateley Wareing and will have offices in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Nottingham, Leicester and Birmingham. The Scottish business will have 36 partners out of 75 across the whole business and more than 110 fee earners out of 280.

Malcolm McPherson, HBJ Gateley's senior partner, said the firm had wanted to increase its presence in Glasgow for some time. Boyds specialises in corporate advice, dispute resolution and commercial property.
