Edinburgh appointment for HBJ Gateley Wareing

Step up for dual qualified Kirsty Nicholson

HBJ Gateley Wareing has strengthened its commercial property team through the appointment of a new partner at its Edinburgh office.

Kirsty Nicholson, who is dual Scottish/English qualified, will lead the firm’s English property team. HBJ's commercial property team has expanded by 33% in the last 12 months, and the firm this week announced a merger with Glasgow firm Boyds.

After qualifying in Scotland, Ms Nicholson spent five years at Linklaters in London before returning to Scotland to join HBJ Gateley Wareing in November 2005.

HBJ Gateley Wareing head of property in Scotland, Miles Ede, said: “We are delighted that Kirsty has become a partner. Our UK property practice is growing at a phenomenal rate and now comprises 16 partners and 65 other fee earners.”
