Reduced panel of eight firms selected for possible instructions
The Scottish Executive has appointed a slimmed-down group of eight legal firms to its Framework Agreement Panel.
A total of 28 law firms bid for the eight positions on the panel, which formerly had 12 listed firms. Although the appointment does not guarantee work, it allows the firms to bid for all of the Scottish Executive’s outsourced legal work. The appointments run until 2011.
Anderson Strathern is the only new entrant on the panel. The other members are Brodies, DLA, Dundas & Wilson, Harper MacLeod, Maclay Murray & Spens, Morton Fraser and Pinsent Masons.
Robert Carr, Anderson Strathern’s chairman, said: "The Scottish Executive is a prestigious and important client and we are delighted to be appointed to the panel.”
