Move reflects firm's aim to meet international clients' needs
Private client law firm Turcan Connell is to open an office in London to make it more accessible for international clients.
The office will initially be used as a base for client meetings with staff from Edinburgh and the firm's Guernsey office. Some 10% of Turcan Connell's clients live in London and the home counties and about 5% overseas.
Douglas Connell, the firm's joint senior partner, said the move would provide a better way of serving clients who were not in Scotland and would help expand the business.
Turcan Connell's annual figures for 2006-07 show a 15.6% growth over the year and total income of more than £18 million. The firm aims to double that in the next five or six years.
