Hires and promotions at Lindsays

Added expertise in key teams in Edinburgh and Glasgow offices

Lindsays has announced the appointment of several additional specialist personnel.

Last month Margaret Morrison joined the firm’s already substantial liquor licensing and gambling team, bringing significant industry experience from her previous role with Stirling Licensing Board. Also in May, Iain Penman, who has extensive commercial litigation expertise and considerable court experience, joined the litigation team from DLA.

In June, Russell Eadie has joined the firm’s employment law team from DLA. With 10 years' experience and a particular interest in discrimination, he will be based at Lindsays’ Glasgow office. The firm has also secured Michael Clarke, formerly business development manager at Shepherd & Wedderburn, as head of business development, leading Lindsays’ client care and key client programmes, as well as the firm’s sales strategy.

July will see Jocelyne Hindmarsh, formerly of Anderson Strathern, join the commercial property group. She specialises in English property transactions and will concentrate on cross-border work on projects for some of the firm’s largest clients.

In addition to these new appointments, Karen Stachura of the litigation group has been promoted to senior associate, and Lorna Bruton of Lindsays Residential has been promoted to associate.

David Reith, chairman of Lindsays’ management board, said that the firm had achieved remarkable growth in the last few years. "Finding enthusiastic new people has been key to our success, leading to the impressive expansion of our specialist service capabilities and geographical reach."
