Maclays posts 12% revenue growth

First published results as LLP show profits up 15% on £54m turnover
Maclay Murray & Spens LLP has announced a significant increase in both turnover and profit in its annual results for financial year 2006-07.
The firm, which currently has 72 partners, saw turnover rise 12% to £54.3m, and profit by more than 15% to £17.5m, or £315,000 per equity partner. The firm will release its full accounts, its first since converting to LLP.
Magnus Swanson, chief executive of Maclay Murray & Spens, commented: "This has been another excellent year for the firm and we continue to explore opportunities for further growth and development of MMS as a UK business."
Mr Swanson said the figures included "an excellent contribution" from the firm's London-based financial services compliance company, Regulatory Solutions Ltd, and from two London lateral hire partners. He added that recent associate promotions and the four new partners who joined from from Iain Smith & Co in Aberdeen earlier this year would impact more fully next year.
