Dual qualified Julie Matthews joins from Tods Murray
Semple Fraser has appointed Julie Matthews as an associate in its commercial property team.
Ms Matthews, who joins the firm from Tods Murray, has experience in all aspects of commercial property from acquisitions and disposals, to lettings, portfolio management, and landlord and tenant, and has worked for funders, investors and developers.
Semple Fraser is aiming to provide more UK-wide legal services and Ms Matthews is dual qualified in English and Scots law. The firm now has 19 dual qualified lawyers and seven English qualified lawyers. More than 20% of its income is English business and there are plans to grow this figure to 50%.
Managing partner Alister Fraser said: “We want to replicate our success in the Scottish market throughout the rest of the UK. We’ve developed a significant cross border practice which is growing ever stronger.”
