Life science expert joins DLA Piper

Philippa Montgomerie joins technology, commercial and media team


DLA Piper Scotland has appointed Philippa Montgomerie to join its technology, media and commercial (TMC) team.

Ms Montgomerie joins the TMC team as an associate specialising in intellectual property. She trained and worked in London before joining DLA Piper, and has a degree in biochemistry and a particular interest in life sciences and patent litigation. She was a keynote speaker at the recent stem cell conference in Edinburgh.

John McKinlay, partner at DLA Piper Scotland, said: "Philippa is a welcome addition to the TMC team. Her expertise gained from working on complex patent and life science cases is unrivalled in Scotland, and will be of tremendous benefit to our clients."
