Four new appointments for Burness

Recruits include three senior in-house lawyers
Burness has strengthened its planning, pensions and corporate law teams with the appointment of four solicitors, including three senior in-house lawyers.
Lindsay Wallace, the former head of legal at SMG, has joined the firm's corporate department at as professional support lawyer. Ms Wallace has been with SMG since 2002 and previously worked with ScottishPower and law firms in Scotland and England.
Planning expert Emma Dewar and pensions specialist Jonathan Noble also join the practice. Ms Dewar was previously an in-house solicitor with Edinburgh City Council, while Mr Noble joins from Standard Life, where he was a member of the legal services team for 10 years.
A fourth new member of staff is Joanna Elliot, who joins from Lovells as a commercial litigator.
Burness's chairman Philip Rodney said he was delighted to welcome the four new people to the team.
