Twenty firms make 2008 shortlist in 11 categories
The 2008 Cuthbert Scottish Legal Awards have attracted a record entry from the bigger firms, the organisers reported on announcing the shortlisted finalists this week.
However smaller firms also have a presence, such as Purdie & Co, Maloco & Associates, Caesar & Howie and Govan Law Centre.
Fifteen-partner Archibald Campbell & Harley, picked up the most nominations, being shortlisted in two individual and two firm categories, including firm of the year, in which they were joined by last year's winners Gillespie Macandrew, and Anderson Strathern.
Morton Fraser, Anderson Strathern, Maclay Murray & Spens and Balfour & Manson are all in contention in three categories, while Brodies, Tods Murray, Blackadders, Gillespie Macandrew, Purdie & Co and searchers Miller & Bryce each make it to two shortlists.
Winners will be announced at the awards lunch and presentation on 22 February in the Glasgow Hilton.
