Former prosecutor joins Burness
Diane Turner appointed associate in move from DLA Piper
Burness has appointed Diane Turner as an associate.
Ms Turner joins the firm's environmental and health and safety teams from DLA Piper on 4 February. She has spent the past five years advising and representing clients internationally on contentious and non-contentious issues, specialising in environmental matters, and has regularly acted in a wide range of health and safety issues including fatal accident enquiries.
A former procurator fiscal depute, she has conducted more than 1,000 summary trials and 100 jury trials.
Philip Rodney, Burness chairman, said: “Diane’s appointment further strengthens an outstanding team. Her extensive court litigation experience with an environmental, health and safety background, brings a unique set of skills to the firm.”
