Date set for contempt of court hearing
Human rights solicitor Aamer Anwar is to face a two-day contempt of court hearing at the end of April.
The case will be heard at the High Court in Edinburgh on 29 and 30 April. It concerns comments Mr Anwar made after the conviction of his client, student Mohammed Atif Siddique, on charges of terrorism in September last year.
At the time, Mr Anwar said the verdict was a tragedy for justice and freedom of speech, and alleged that the prosecution had been driven by the state.
