Raft of promotions at Turcan Connell

Private client firm promotes 16 members of staff

The law firm Turcan Connell has announced several senior promotions within the firm.

Four of the promotions are to senior associate and four are to associate level, with six promotions to senior solicitor. There are also two promotions to senior positions within the investment and tax compliance teams.

Those promoted to senior associate include: Alastair Collin of the property team, whose experience covers renewable energy projects as well as rural environment and planning; Kenneth Pinkerton who joined Turcan Connell in 2001; Donald Simpson who completed his traineeship with Turcan Connell in 2000 and was promoted to senior solicitor in 2004 and associate in 2006; and Linsey Smith who deals with property law.

Those promoted to associate are: Russell Duncan who is part of Robert Turcan's team and deals with general estate conveyancing; Stuart Holmes who is helping to develop the firm's litigation business; Gillian MacNulty who deals with all aspects of rural property law; and Phaedra Mercer who deals with urban residential conveyancing.

In addition, Duncan Blyth has been promoted to senior investment manager, and Iain Alexander is now a senior tax manager.

Lynn Richmond, Elizabeth Williams, Louise Pierce, Jennifer Younger, Paul Macaulay and Chris Sheldon have all been promoted to senior solicitor.
