MacRoberts hire corporate recovery director
Formern Grant Thornton partner Donald McGruther CA joins law firm
MacRoberts solicitors have appointed Donald McGruther as Director of Corporate Recovery Services. A chartered accountant and a former partner in Grant Thornton, Mr McGruther brings to the role over 30 years of experience in the corporate recovery market.
Mr McGruther, who will be based in the Gl;asgow office, has a reputation for keeping insolvent companies alive and trading as a precursor to their sale as going concerns.
MacRoberts’ managing partner, Michael Murphy, said: "Donald will be providing support and advice to our clients in relation to business restructuring and recovery matters and in growing our share of this market. With the expected upturn in the number of businesses requiring advice in this area, either as a result of their difficulties or those of others, we believe there is an opportunity for MacRoberts to provide pragmatic solutions to issues arising from the credit squeeze."
