Pat Loftus takes a step up at specialist property firm
Bell & Scott has promoted specialist non-contentious construction lawyer Pat Loftus to partner, effective from 1 May.
Mr Loftus joined Bell & Scott from Maclay Murray & Spens and has also worked at global firm Hammonds. Dual qualified in English and Scots law, he holds an LLM in construction law and is accredited as a construction law specialist by the Law Society of Scotland.
Brandon Malone, head of Bell & Scott’s construction team, said the firm was developing its services into separate partner-led groups covering contentious and non-contentious construction law. “Pat, as a leading non-contentious lawyer, is a great addition to the team.”
The firm has also appointed Jamie Hunter as a solicitor in the strategic land team. He joins from Shepherd & Wedderburn where he worked on PPP/PFI projects.
