Commercial law firm Burness has announced a slate of eight promotions, mainly in its property team.
Four solicitors are made up to partner: Steven McKinlay, Scott Peterkin and Peter Rice, who work in property, along with Vanessa Ingram, a pensions lawyer. Three other solicitors in property, David Antonelli, Peter Chambers and Hannah Ross, have been promoted to associate, as has Will Cole in dispute resolution.
The firm has also announced the arrival of pensions lawyer Alison Shackleton, formerly with McClure Naismith, as a director.
Philip Rodney, chairman of Burness, said: "Despite current challenges in the market place, the appointments we are making in our property practice underline our continuing strategy for investment in our core areas, while the promotions and recruitment in pensions send a strong message to the market as to our level of expertise in this area and our continued commitment to providing an outstanding service in the field of employment, benefits and pensions.”
