Neil Anderson appointed, while Marysia Lewis takes up floating sheriff appointment

Aberdeen law firm Ledingham Chalmers has appointed Neil Anderson as a partner in its corporate team.

Mr Anderson arrives later this year, having spent 12 years with Biggart Baillie, five as partner. During his career, he has developed considerable expertise in the power sector and has regularly provided external support to in-house legal and commercial teams in major companies.

The announcement comes as planning and environmental law expert Marysia Lewis, who has been with Ledingham Chalmers for 20 years, leaves the firm to take up an appointment as a floating sheriff for Grampian and the Highlands and Islands, based in Peterhead. Mrs Lewis has been a part-time sheriff for the past two years.

Chairman David Laing said: “Neil has experience of large organisations and their transactions and his credentials are strengthened further still by his experience in the power sector. This adds a new dimension to our work with the renewable energy sector and we look forward to introducing his skills and experience to our clients."
