Note of three directions made by the President of the Employment Tribunals (Scotland)

The President of the Employment Tribunals (Scotland) has made three practice directions dated 14 December 2006:

  • No 1 directs that where a party is legally represented, a list of documents to be relied on at any hearing on the merits be intimated to other parties/representatives at least 14 days beforehand;
  • No 2 directs a tribunal chairman to sist for mediation where all parties are agreed on that course, but to keep the need for a sist under review;
  • No 3 provides for specification of the amount claimed in a counterclaim and for notice of intention to resist a counterclaim to be given within 28 days.
