Two new managers at Balfour & Manson

Balfour & Manson has announced the appointment of two new managers in its Edinburgh main office.

Property manager Maggie Williamson has joined the residential property team, recently expanded to five partners following the merger with G W Tait & Sons. Welcoming Ms Williamson, who has 17 years' experience in similar work, head of property Robin Hill said:

"Maggie has a great reputation and I am sure our clients and the rest of the team will greet her specialist expertise with enthusiasm... Prices in Edinburgh in particular are healthy and the team is managing a significant increase in its business portfolio with prices in the mid to upper range."

The firm has also appointed its first head of marketing, Jane Harvey. An experienced senior marketing professional, she relocates to her native Scotland from London, where she was most recently head of marketing for international marketing consultants Hay Group.

Fred Tyler, chairman of the firm, explained: "Balfour & Manson has expanded rapidly over the last 12 months with the appointment of new partners and the opening of offices outside Edinburgh. It is vital we convey a consistent message to our clients and colleagues ensuring we communicate effectively to them. Jane brings a wealth of experience from a range of sectors and we are delighted to welcome her to our team."
