Rise in turnover for Anderson Strathern

Anderson Strathern has announced a 21% rise in turnover to £18.63 million for the year 2006-07 – its ninth successive year of annual growth.

The firm has grown its fee-earner base 27% in the last year and its total increase in turnover in the nine years is 210%.

The year saw the firm move its Glasgow office to larger premises and become a limited liability partnership. An additional 50 members of staff were recruited, taking the total number of employees to about 300.

Chairman Robert Carr said: “I am delighted we are achieving sustained growth steadfastly in line with our three year business plan.

“The growth has been across all practice areas, with strong performance from our traditional strengths such as private client and rural property as well as developing areas such as parliamentary and public law and commercial services. Our property division also enjoyed a successful year.”

In addition, Anderson Strathern has been reaccredited as an Investor In People for the sixth time.

Robin Stimpson, managing partner, said: “We wish to be seen as an employer of choice in the Scottish legal sector and we are delighted with the calibre of individuals that have joined the firm this year.”
