Advocates swell ranks of Queen's Counsel

Fourteen more advocates have been appointed Queen's Counsel in Scotland, the Faculty of Advocates has announced.

The successful applicants are Steven Stuart; Leo Hofford; Roderick Thomson; Gerald Carroll; Marian Gilmore; Ailsa Jane Carmichael; Ruth Crawford; Graham Primrose; Alan McLean; Alan Summers; Jonathan Lake; Murdo Macleod; Sarah Wolffe; and Geoff Clarke.

Appointments are made by the Queen on the recommendation of the First Minister, with the approval of the Lord Justice General.
